Maths Workshop 2024

Wednesday 6 November

We had a lovely morning on Wednesday when parents and carers were invited to join us for a maths workshop.  Mr Murdoch delivered a short presentation in the hall and then families were able to join in with the children in their classrooms to get a deeper understanding of how maths is taught at our school. The children were so excited to share their learning with their grown-ups and we were delighted with how many of you joined us for the event.  We hope you took away some valuable information and ideas from the session.

Colour Run 2024

Friday 18 October

On Friday 18th October we all took part in our annual colour run.  What an amazing afternoon it was! The weather held out and it was gorgeous to see the children laughing and smiling as they ran or walked around our track and field, some choosing to be covered in powder paint to raise money for Cancer research UK.  We are delighted to announce we raised a spectacular £584.00. We would like to say a huge thank you to all of our parents and carers and everyone who donated to such a worthwhile charity.

FS2 Phonics Workshop 2024

10 October 2024

Yesterday, FS2 welcomed parents and carers into their class for a fabulous phonics workshop. The children were superb and showcased all their knowledge, from identifying sounds to segmenting and blending, and word reading and writing. FS2 team would like to thank all the parents and carers who attended the workshop.  It was a fabulous turnout and really does make a difference! We hope you found the experience useful and had lots of fun learning in our classroom.

World Mental Health Day 2024

Thursday 10 September

Thursday certainly brightened up the week with children and staff being invited to wear yellow to recognise World Mental Health day. The children completed lots of different activities throughout the day including yoga, happy breathing and craft and colouring to help recognise how we can calm our minds and regulate our emotions. Our children are really skilled at recognising their emotions and know the importance of caring for their mental health. It was lovely to see the children being a part of different activities throughout school.
