This post offers a fixed term TLR 3 for 12 months, (future leadership opportunities may arise)

Salary: Band 1, 2 & 3 (dependent on experience)

The Governors would like to appoint an outstanding and inspirational teacher to join our excellent team of dedicated staff, committed to ensuring the highest standards and best learning opportunities for the pupils of Brook Acre.  This post is suitable for experienced teachers looking to progress to a leadership role (TLR 3 initially). 

Brook Acre is a school moving from strength to strength with a tangible buzz for improvement throughout each key stage.  This is an exciting time for our school and a fantastic opportunity to join us on our journey to outstanding. 

We are looking for the right candidate to demonstrate outstanding teaching practice to join a dedicated team of teaching and support staff, building on sound starting points to offer excellent progress for all.  The key stage/year group assigned to the teaching post will be based on experience and interests of the successful candidate, with flexibility to appoint to any of the Key Stages.  Please state key stage/year group preferences within your letter of application.

Due to a change in the school’s leadership team, and in line with our current priorities, the Governors have agreed to the recruitment of a TLR 3 post for 1 year with responsibility for Strategic Curriculum Leadership.  This role would include leadership of a key foundation (or science) subject area and coaching, support and guidance for all foundation (& science) subject leaders within the school.  Please state curriculum leadership experience and interests within your letter of application.  

 We are looking for a teacher who can demonstrate:

  • Excellent teaching using a wide range of teaching methods to motivate and inspire learners;
  • A sound understanding of learning at primary level and with strong subject knowledge in key stages/year groups of key interest;
  • A commitment to make a real difference to the lives of the pupils and wider school community;
  • The ability to work effectively and contribute positively within a team environment;
  • High expectations for the attitudes and behaviour of everyone;
  • The ability to reflect on their own practice, embracing change and striving for improvement.
