Our teacher is Miss Holding and our teaching assistants are Mrs Ball and Mrs Trainor.

In Year 2 we enjoy working hard and having lots of fun.  This year we are doing lots of exciting things including trips, parent’s visits, performances and learning to play the keyboard.

Our Learning Journeys will inspire our learning in all areas of the curriculum.

This year we will be doing the following Learning Journeys;

'The World and Beyond' expolring Neil Armstrong and Christopher Colombus

'The Great Outdoors'

'Healthy Me'

'Make, Create, Celebrate!'

Homework and Reading

Year 2 homework is sent home every Friday and will be linked to the learning we have been doing in class.  Homework is collected in and marked on a Thursday.  Lots of team points can be earned for fantastic pieces of homework!

Children are expected to read at least 3 times a week at home and we enjoy reading parents comments about their children's reading at home.

If homework and reading are complete, children are awarded with treat time on a Friday afternoon.

Children must also remember to practise number bonds and times tables.  Feel free to ask staff for any ideas you may want to try.

We have lots of exciting events planned!

4th December - St Rocco's Run

9th & 10th December - Christmas Play

20th December - Christmas Jumper Day

9th January - Class trip to Liverpool Cathedral

12th February - Keyboard Concert
