Class Information

As well as many exciting trips and visitors to our class this year, we will also be focusing on SATs preparation and transition to High School.

Please support your children in making sure that homework and reading tasks are completed to a high standard.

* Children should regularly be accessing online learning such as TT Rock Stars, ReadingPlus and Spelling Shed at home.

* All children have a reading book. They are expected to read at least 3 times each week and record their own comments about what they have read in line with their target for the half term.

* Each half term, a project will be set that links to our topic and will need to be submitted before the end of the half term.

Year 6 Trip to RAF Burtonwood

Year 6 have had a fantastic time at RAF Burtonwood. They had workshops on rationing, life on the home front, evacuation, the Berlin airlift and how Warrington was used during the war to train airmen, repair planes and make bombs and ammunition. It was fascinating to find out about Warrington during the war and the children showed excellent knowledge during the day from the work they have been doing in school. The volunteers at the museum were very impressed with the children and told us that they were 'a credit to the school'.
