We are a 'My Happy Mind' school!

Happy Breathing
Children throughout school use happy breathing as a technique to regulate their brains following periods of high energy or high emotions. We find the children enjoy happy breathing following break times to get them ready for their next lesson.

My Happy Mind at Brook Acre
We are proud to be a part of the myHappymind Family! As a whole school programme grounded in science and dedicated to building positive mental wellbeing, myHappymind helps children understand how their brains work and creates a culture that helps to build children's resilience, confidence, and self-esteem. myHappymind also teaches the children how to self-regulate and manage their emotions in stressful times, allowing them to be their very best selves! Zones of regulation
At Brook Acre, we encourage children to use the zones of regulation to show or explain how they are feeling.
