Maths at Brook Acre
We believe that children should be engaged in their learning and feel appropriately challenged. We have the responsibility of equipping children with the maths fluency and reasoning skills to have a go at challenges without the fear of making mistakes. Staff will guide and scaffold whilst encouraging independent learning whenever possible. We want mathematicians at Brook Acre to have a go, show resilience and enjoy their learning.
Our Aim
We strive to give children the tools to confidently use their recall and conceptual understanding to reason, before applying their skills to problem-solving.
