What is a Learning Journey?

p9120012(2)

A Learning Journey makes links between curriculum areas to enable teachers to create an experience in which children can absorb themselves, become interested and engaged, use the basic skills in contexts and for greater amounts of time, explore learning.

The Learning Journey may last ½ term, a full term, or any other amount of time.  It should be as long or as short as necessary to fulfil need.

The Learning Journey will identify the

  •             Aspects of Learning
  •             Skills
  •             Knowledge
  • and should encourage children to  ASK?

Where subjects do not fit within the Learning Journey, they will be taught discretely.
