WELCOME TO YEAR 3

In year 3 we love learning. We love learning about lots of different subjects and topics. We explore quality texts in English which influence our learning in other areas of the curriculum. We have explored the coast of the UK, Winter wonderlands, The Iron Age, Bronze Age, Journeys and Ancient Egyptians. This year we will have the opportunity to go on a range of trips to enhance our learning, including; Chester Zoo, Poole’s cavern and Warrington Museum.
Things to remember:
- Home Reading – Children are expected to read at least three times a week. Books will be changed regularly throughout the week. Books and reading record should be brought into school every day and will be checked on a Friday.
- Homework – Year 3 will be set a challenge homework to complete over the course of the half term. Children will be able to choose from a number of activities related to our learning journey.
- PE lessons – Our PE lessons will take place weekly. Please ensure that your child has a PE kit in school. A reminder that kits must be unbranded.
